Maryland Move Over Law Protects Tow Trucks
Governor O'Malley has expanded the State of Maryland's
Move Over laws to now include Tow Truck Operators.
This law will go into effect October 1, 2014 and
comes with a hefty fine of $500 if not adhered to.
The law states if you see a tow truck driver on the shoulder,
you must
move into an open lane away from the tow truck
or slow down to a safe
speed.
This is the same law protecting first responders; police,
emergency vehicles and now tow trucks.
Let's keep it safe for
Tow Truck Operators
