Electric, efficient and Goofy!

Toyota i-Road

Oh my, I just don't know if I could feel comfortable in this car!  Kind of
like going into one of those MRI machines.........just a a little too enclosed for my taste.
I suppose these vehicles come in quite handy in high traffic urban areas,
well so does a motorcycle and to me this concept is just that:  a
motorcycle with a body!

How about this funky concept from Renault KWID

Renault KWID with built in drone quadcopter......huh?

Now I ask you, doesn't this car remind you of a sneaker?
A sneaker with a flying drone?
Who needs a drone?

ok, whatever your style, whatever car you choose
if you get stuck............we can help!

Remote Car Starters

oooh, it's a bit on the cold side this morning!  Your car is feeling it too.........
don't get caught with a car that won't start in the cold weather.

Plug it in, plug it in!  Get yourself an electric block heater for your engine
that you plug in over night. Keeps the oil warm and the battery charged,
so your car starts in the morning!

You can also plug in a pair of electric gloves or socks,
right into a USB port on your computer or using
the USB connector in your car.

Wild stuff!

Should you need an early morning jump start
be sure to call us:

Happy New Year's Eve!

Tonight is the night to ring in the new, with a kiss at midnight, banging pots and pans
and a chorus or two of Auld Lang Syne:

Should Old Acquaintance be forgot,
and never thought upon;
The flames of Love extinguished,
and fully past and gone:
Is thy sweet Heart now grown so cold,
that loving Breast of thine;
That thou canst never once reflect
On Old long syne.
CHORUS:
On Old long syne my Jo,
On Old long syne,
That thou canst never once reflect,
On Old long syne.

.......and around the world people, other countries have their own traditions
to bring in the New Year!

Denmark - for Danes it's customary to throw old plates and glasses at friends'
front doors!  The gesture is actually welcomed - a heaping pile of broken dishes
on a home's doorstep is considered lucky, because it shows those inside
have many friends.

Philippines - Filipinos wear polka - dotted clothing and eat round shaped foods
during their festivities.  The circular shapes represent coins and are believed to
bring prosperity.

Spain - in Spain, it's tradition to quickly eat 12 grapes, one as each hour chimes
at midnight, to bring good luck for each month of the coming year.

Japan - Celebrating in Japan often involves dressing as the New Year's zodiac
animal and attending the local temple, where bells ring 108 times, a sacred
number in Japanese culture.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and safe
New Year

Winter Driving Tips

Preparing for Winter Driving

How to Drive in Snow and Ice

The three key elements to safe winter driving are:
  • Stay alert;
  • Slow down; and
  • Stay in control

It is best to winterize your vehicle before winter strikes.
Schedule a maintenance check-up for the vehicle’s tires and tire pressure,
battery, belts and hoses, radiator, oil, lights, brakes, exhaust system,
heater/defroster, wipers and ignition system. Keep your gas tank
sufficiently full – at least half a tank is recommended. Depending upon
where you drive, you may consider using winter tires or tire chains.
