A Message from AAA


Governor O'Malley expanded the State of Maryland's

Move Over laws to now include Tow Truck Operators.

This law went into effect October 1, 2014 and

comes with a hefty fine of $500 if not adhered to.

The law states if you see a tow truck driver on the shoulder, 

you must move into an open lane away from the tow truck 

or slow down to a safe speed.

This is the same law protecting first responders; police, 

emergency vehicles and now tow trucks.

You've got to Move Over - It Saves Lives!

Can you tow my cow?

We've had our share of calls...........and we've heard some crazy stories too.  

But imagine getting a call to tow a cow out of a pool..........

Well that's what happened in Oklahoma City when firefighters were called in to rescue 

a cow that had fallen into a pool.  The tow truck driver said "this was udderly his strangest

call"................and we agree!

A Moment of Silence

Please take a moment of silence to remember 

Larry Murphy

Larry worked as a tow truck operator and mechanic for 

Cleary's Transportation Company

for 35 years. His passing was unexpected on January 11, 2017.

George's Custom Towing as well as many other local companies

paid tribute yesterday by joining forces in a vehicle parade to show

respect and to mourn the loss of their friend Larry Murphy.

Rest in peace Larry Murphy, you will be missed.

Eric's Medical Fund

On January 11, 2017 around 1:34 am, Eric was intentionally struck in a hit and run vehicle driven by a customer who took their vehicle without consent.

He remains in critical condition at the hospital with no definitive results or conclusions to his well being, and certainly no release date in sight. He will have a long road ahead.

Although 24 year old Amber Harding of Laurel, MD has been arrested

and taken to jail - Eric remains in serious condition.
