Need a break, pull off the road to do texting, take
a break or even a nap. Don't endanger other's on the road!
Hands Free, Not Risk Free
Just the other day a friend was in an accident, his fault.
He was at a light and texting on his phone
and he's not exactly sure what happened but the next thing he knew
he
had rolled and smashed into the car in front of him.
The front end of
his truck which was hauling a trailer was demolished.
The car in front
of him, well the driver didn't even have a license and
of course no insurance.
and then of course there's the hands free problem too.........
When I put the key into the ignition on my relatively new vehicle the very next thing
that happens is that my car links up with my cell phone.
This is bluetooth technology, something
that until very recently was foreign to me....ok, so I'm a little behind the times.
The buttons to answer the phone, hang up the phone and control the volume are
on my steering wheel. It didn't take me long to realize that accessing these buttons
could be hazardous. Well, anytime that you're mentally distracted or remove your eyes
from the road, let's face it you're distracted.

For me, I have to say that there are many times I don't answer the phone
while driving, even with hands free capabilities.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Use common sense while on the road for your safety and the safety of others.
